Quick cards

Gosh half way through the week already. Back at work and not enough hours in a day to craft again and do all the ideas that are running around in my head. I have had to resort to using papers and no stamps for two quick cards. I hate doing it really as I wouldn't buy half the stuff over again. Would much rather use my stamps now. I had better show them to you. I made them last night for a birthday today and tomorrow.  Off to wrap some pressies up now. Hopefully I might get to stamp before bedtime. Happy crafting.

New distress inks.

Have been playing with two new distress inks Wild Honey and Rusty Hinge. Love these colours. I have stamped on top and added gold mica powder. The image was one I stamped last year and used
glaze on it. The embelishments are an old Christmas decoration.

Sadly I'm really trying to watch the pennies at the moment as there are quite a few new distress colours that I would like. Never mind I'll stick them on my ever growing wish list.

I burned the midnight oil last night making  three more cards for my December pile. I went with traditional colours  but used none traditional images. I

I have been busy sewing today, making a start on my Christmas presents. I've made a little coat for my Grandaughters  baby doll. My electric sewing machine as seen better days so I have gone back and used my Mums old treadle machine which is about 80 years old. I had forgotton how much longer it takes on it. But it sewed like a dream.  Sorry pictures in wrong order  don't know how to get it right once it's gone wrong.

Bunch for Christmas

Hi everyone I've had a good day playing. Thought I would share with you my bunch of cards for Christmas.The first carol singing is a Debbie Moore stamp and I have used a piece of recycled card. The next uses Crafter companion bauble and I have mounted it on my new Marianne  Die, first time I have used  it and it cuts beautifully. For the 3rd card I adapted a birthday house mouse stamp from Joanna Sheen, the backing paper was from a magazine. The last two cards I used the Lili of the Valley stamp I borrowed the other week. The blue one is mounted on a recycled card from last year. The pink onto a Nellie Sneddon die cut. I hope you all managed to have fun crafting today.

I am out tomorrow taking my little grandaughter to the library storytime, so that will be lots of fun for us both.

Essence of Nature

Yipee I have Glenda Waterworths new Essence of Nature CD from Ghaphicus. The papers are beautiful, it took me ages to decide which one to use. Here is my first card using just one of the papers. The stamps used are also from Glenda. I have just used one dye ink Adirondack wild plum to overystamp the paper. I didn't want to cover the papers too much, as they are so lovely. Just added a few jewels to  add a bit of bling. Hope you like it. All the papers would work with anything and for any occasion.

ribbon storage

Thought you might like to see what I have been doing this week. Punched circles and then used a ribbon punch on each one. Threaded the ribbon through, punched a small hole at the top and threaded them on to safety pins. I put a line up at top of my door and colour cordinated my ribbons. I have a sheet of poly over them to keep off the dust. Didn't know I had so many until I hung them up. Alot of them where given to me by a couple of customers at work. Now I can pick a ribbon , match it to some paper and colour my image to match. Instead of searching for ages to match things together.
