Wow it's been stuffy here this morning, it's very unusual for me to be warm. I sufferer from cold intolerance and usually have to wear a thermal even in summer. It's been great I haven't had to wear one for at least a week . I went for my usual potter round this morning. It was really windy but warm.  Have been sewing  some knitting together for most of the day. I finished taking pictures of my card makes. I tried yesterday but my camera was flat. I've made a wedding box and a very small shaped card to fit into the box. It needs a little verse in the middle of the back yet. I also have made two christmas cards using a new Marianne die, it's my favourite at the moment. At tea time I went to the baths to watch Maddison swim again. She is doing very well, although she's busy chattering to everyone instead of listening to the instructer. She starts school in September I bet she gets told off for talking, she's a real chatterbox. We got outside and boy the heavens opened. It didn't half put some rain down good job we were in my sons car or we would have looked like drowned rats.

I am struggling to get on the computer again with my sons back in the craft room but hope to get back on soon. Happy crafting . Hugs x ChrisB

Hi everyone I'm sorry I have been missing again. Have been busy finishing the knitting I started last week. I also made some cards yesterday, one is for my friends Grandaughter she is four next week. I made some quick Christmas cards as well last night.
I have also been trying to walk when the weather as been nice. It's not much fun at times but I did manage to get on a bus last week and visit M & S at Bolton.  I also walked to Tescoes and picked up my new pairs of vifocals, so now I can see to sew again. I have been busy doing some alterations. I bought quite a few strappy vests to wear under my low neck tops and have had to shorten all the straps, also a couple of pairs of trousers.
It's been lovely and sunny today so have been sat outside knitting , then  Lee and I went to watch Maddison have her swimming lesson. Then they came back to our house for tea.
Have you been watching the Olympics? I'm not sporty at all but have really enjoyed watching the cycling, show jumping and gymnastics. Haven't seen any to day, so I'm off to catch up in a bit.

I will have a quick look at some blogs first. Hope you are all well and enjoying crafting . Hugs x ChrisB

I've been a bad blogger this last couple of weeks and not been around. I've  a card to show you today that I have been putting together for a couple of days. It's the other silver wedding card I was asked to make. The elastic band is just to keep it open while I took the photo.
I haven't done any other card making as I have been doing some knitting. I have loads of wool  I was given a few years ago so thought I better knit some up. I started a cardigan for myself then Maddison saw me knitting and she wants a cardigan. So they are both on the go.  It's been nice so I have been able to relax outside with my needles working away.

This last weekend it was the Ironman race. There were people from 30 countries competing. They had to swim 2mile then jump on their bikes and cycle 122miles then run 26miles. My neighbours took some chairs out and we watched them running past us. We had bacon butties , ham sandwiches crisps, icecream and 7 bottles of wine. It was a lovely afternoon and we all had great time. At the moment I'm trying to get organized with my craft materials moving some down stairs as my sons due to move back into my craft room. Trying to think what I need to get my hands on most. It will be back to only being my room at 10pm at night. Just time to get on my computer then and blog before bed. It's been nice to have the room to myself for a couple of months and been able to leave things out instead of spending ages tidying up.  Off to look what you have all been up to now. Happy crafting hugs x ChrisB

Sunny day

Hi , we have something round and yellow up in the sky don't quite believe it.  Ah I remember now it's the sunshine. I hope some of you  out there have it to.
I  was out for a walk before it dissappeared. Then back in to do some crafting. I made a quick birthday card for my friends birthday tomorrow. Oops forgot to take a picture of that one.
I have been commissioned to make two silver wedding cards. I have made the first one using a floral wreath by Woodware.  I decided to make it in Lilac and Silver. The picture's haven't turned out well. I think it's  because of the silver mirror. I also used my edgeabilities and a Marianne Die
I also made two more Christmas cards a few days ago.

I heard the very sad news that Robert from Once upon a stamp passed away yesterday. He was a lovely fun person. He will be sadly missed.

Hope you are having a good week. Happy crafting. Hugs x ChrisB

Play day

Hi yesterday I said I was going to have a play day today. Wouldn't you just know it I overslept. I couldn't get to sleep again  until about 3.30 so only woke up at 10.30am.
By the time I had got washed and dressed, done my exercises been for my walk. I t was past dinner time. I also had to make a couple of phone calls about benefits that took ages, it was 3 o.clock. before I knew it.
Never mind I did get to play a little while as hubby made our tea and washed up. I made another Christmas card. I used a Bild malarna stamp called Mimosa with candles. I decided to paper piece her and used promarkers to finish her off. I also masked her and stamp a christmas tree behind her as well as stmping some little parcels. I added jewels and glitter to finish. I used X cut ovel dies to make the easel card. I hope you have managed to have a play. Happy crafting. Hugs x ChrisB

Monday, 2 July 2012

I got up this morning and thought right I will go and try and get some exercise, I managed to  do my little walk down the slip road and back up my street. . My feet are terrible all the time but I won't let it beat me. I've been told that this can last up to at least twelve months or even longer to go or sometimes never. It never stopped raining all the time but I won't let it beat me. I am determined to get a bit further  each week.
I did some ironing this afternoon that's been sat there looking at me all weekend. So tomorrow I am hoping to play abit.
I managed to finish off my other Christmas card for you to see. I printed the jolly snowman off an old cd of Michelle Marsdens.  The border was embossed then cut with one of my new edgabilities. The snowflakes I cut with Spellbinders then used a quickie glue pen and glittered them. Glitted the image and added some red gems
See you soon happy crafting Hugs xChrisB

Hello my crafty friends I hope you have had a good week and a lovely weekend. At last I can say" hurrah" no more waiting for ambulances, my treatment is over. I have to go back to Bolton  in 6 weeks to be seen and signed off.
A couple of weeks ago I had a lovely surprise a couple of very good friends who I had not seen for about 10years rang and said they were coming visiting me. We had a lovely time catching up with all the news. They bought me some lovely flowers so here is a picture.
I have managed some crafting this Friday and Saturday so I started my christmas cards. My best friend also took me out yesterday so we managed to get some crafty goodies.
