Special Christmas Cards

I thought I'd show you three special Christmas cards I have made. I just have one more to make then I have finished all my cards for this year.

Every year I say I will start them earlier and then I don't. This year it has been harder to get them all done, due to making most of my presents as well. So next year I will definately plan better. I have really enjoyed making these cards so I hope you all like them.

Nellies dies

I have made these Christmas cards with some new dies that my craft buddies were talking about on time for crafting forum. They are metal ones like spellbinders but alot cheaper. I'm really pleased with the results. I hope you like them.

Another Christmas card

Sorry I've not been around I have been very busy finishing off my Christmas presents. Also been making some christmas cards for my friends on the forum, also a few birthday cards. Still have lots to do before Christmas.

I can finally show you the inside of my ladies card I made for a special friend. I loved making this card.

Thursday, 19 November 2009

Phew! Not had time to post anything. I promised myself this year that I wasn't spending as much on Christmas presents and that I was going to make quite alot of them . That's what I have been working on this week plus a couple of cards. So I hope you 'll think they are o.k.

The first pictures are for Dad he loves gardening. He's 83 and is Hungarian. I made the calendar in Hungarian special for him. I have to make something that I can post as he lives in Scarborough. I thought he would like these notlets as he writes home alot.

The lilac card is made for a special birthday for one of my friends. I have decorated all the inside but can't show it as she might see it. The tree one is for a neighbour.

The books I have made are the first ones I have made as I've just got a bind it all.

Christmas gifts

Just thought I would show you what I've been up to . I've been playing with dollies. Just finished these outfits for part of my little grandaughters Christmas present to go with the dolls pram I have got her. Hubby says" they are just so I can play really".

I've also finished my houses. The one with the glitter and pink ribbon is for my grandaughter. The other two are for her Mum and Dad full of chocolates.

This year I decided to make as many of my stocking fillers and presents as I could to try and save some money.

Fairy cards

Lastl of all here are a few fairy cards I've just made. These are going to be part of a christmas present. I am making these for a good friend who really loves fairies and who enjoys my cards.

Last year I made her a box of 40 cards and she used them all year. I don't know how many I will manage to do this year. I still have lots of presents to make.

Christmas cards

Here are a few more christmas cards I have made. Still alot more to get made. I have used Hobby art stamps for these and water coloured them and added a bit of glitter.

A little house

I've have been getting on with a few of my stocking fillers for Christmas. I have made 3 of these little houses. One is for my little grandaughter, it has a snowman christmas tree decoration inside. The other two are filled with chocolates.

Daughters Birthday card

Have been trying to get some stamping done so I could post a few things at once. The first is a Birthday card I've just sent to my daughter, It's her birthday on the 16th November but have posted it now due to the strikes . She is off to cycle across Cambodia and Vietnam and will be cycling on her Birthday.

I have a few birthdays coming up in November so made a couple of cards to put to one side for then.

I used versamark ink pad for stamping on the black card with Crafty Individuals stamp CI 237 and then coloured it with cosmic powders. The rest of the stamping was done with Encore metallic Enchanted Evening, which I thought matched just right. I used CL 230 the bird image and CL 236 the smaller swirl. The swirl around the words was a clear cheap stamp I picked up from the Range last year.

I forgot to say I made this card using My craft studio. I embossed the paper inside around the fairy with gold embossing powder. I glued sequin flowers in her hair and glittered her wings. The fairy on the front was finished with purple seed beads and bedazzles in gold and purple.

Friends Birthday card

I made this card last week for my best friend, but couldn't post it until I had given it as she would have seen it. She loves fairies and unicorns.

A couple of christmas cards

I've been so busy that I've not had much time to craft. I managed to do a couple of quick Christmas cards. Rubber stamped using Distress Inks. The trees were stamped with Pine needles then shadowed with Opalite cypress frost. They were then done with cut and foam using weathered wood and broken china Distress inks. I embossed the corners of the cards.

Maddisons second baking lesson

Thought I would bake with Maddison to pass some time while it was raining hard. It's the second time she has had a go. She's saying "You have to test it Nanna". I think she had a good time.

She is 19months old. Notice everyone had to watch. They were having a party and waiting for the cake.

World card making day

It was world card making day yesterday so I thought I'd make a Birthday card. I made this card but didn't get time to post it I was busy playing with Maddison, so here it is now.

Hi everyone have you heard about the new stamp company Wags n Whiskers just click on ther logo to check them out. You have a chance to win their first set of stamps until the 9th October.

I had to make three Birthday cards this week in between amusing my lovely grandaughter. She can't keep still for more than about two seconds so I'm usually tired when I get up here into my craft room. I'm afraid they had to be quick cards.

This is a picture of the lovely bag that Lottie made for me along with the little book. I was thrilled to bits when I opened my parcel. Lottie makes some beautiful things. Pop over for a look on Lotties blogspot.com.
