Good afternoon folks, I've been busy this morning making a card for my darling gorgeous, clever Grandaughter Maddison. I can't believe how fast time as gone. She starts school on Wednesday so I've made her a card and put a lovely starting school verse.
The other card I made with a stencil, paste and glitter. Hope you like them. Have a good weekend. Hugs x ChrisB

What a day

What a day I had to go to the Dentist today to start having my crown mended. I have had to wait since last September to get it done. Couldn't have any treatment because of my chemo. I was in about an hour and half and to go back in September to have my proper one fitted. Got home and it was sunshining so decided to have a potter down to Tescoes for some discs. Took me quite a while to get there and do my shopping.  Set of back home hadn't got far when there was thunder and lightning , hailstones and it absolutely sheeted it down. By the time I got home I looked like a drowned rat. My darling hubby opened the door and just smiled and said " it's been raining." as if I hadn't noticed.
Just had to time to get changed and then go and watch Maddison at the baths.
I made two cards yesterday the first one I have to thank Kath for inspiring me on Kath's blog. She makes fabulous cards. I have used Friskers Christmas circle  stamps. I got them last year and this is the first time I have played with them. The second card is using papers from Making cards  magazine the vintage special and I added a shrink plastic piece to it.

Hoping to get to play again tomorrow. Thanks for your lovely comments on my cards they are all very much appreciated. Hugs x ChrisB

Morning folks woke up at a silly time so thought I might as well come on here. Done my blogging so I might as well show you my other two cards from yesterday.
Off to do my exercises and  some ironing since I'm up so early. Have a good day Hugs x ChrisB
What a lovely time I had at the Sincerely yours show on Saturday with 4 of my friends. My feet were sore when I got home ,but I didn't care I had got myself lots of lovely stash. I bought three lovely  sets of stamps from Heartfelt Creations the Tattered Blossoms was my favourite. I also got 3 lovely Memory box dies and Spellbinders Persian accents.  I decided to try some Pan pastels so I got, a Red, Yellow and Turquiose so I could also make green, purple and orange with them. I also got a Penny Black set of stamps called Puzzle parts and two stamps by Kaisercraft Botanical and wood grain.

I have had a lovely day playing about with my stamps thought I might as well as it's never stopped raining here. I have used Tattered Blossoms and painted them with Distress inks. I used Tea dye, Scattered straw and Dried Marigold also a green dye ink pad to colour the leaves. The butterfly was one off a Chocolate  Baroque stamp and I did it on vellum and coloured on the back with my yellow Pan pastel. The sentiment was a Hobby Art stamp. The second card was made with another Heartfelt creations stamp. I stamped it and watercoloured it with Tea Dye Distress ink. Mounted it on some Hunkadory card then added punched leaves and a punched swirl.
I also made two more cards but I will show you them tomorrow hopefully. Lets hope it's not rain again all day. Hope you've all had a good Bank Holiday. Hugs x ChrisB

Gosh nearly weekend again

Gosh nearly weekend again, I can hardly believe it where as this week gone. I had to go to the hospital on Wednesday, so I took my big box of cards I had made for Breast Cancer also a box of Chocs and biscuits as a thank you for all there care and hardwork. Also for all their smiles and encouragement they had given me along my difficult journey.
I have been crafting this week also,I've managed to  work on my dining room table and come up with some more Christmas cards. That makes my total so far to 27 everyone different.
We will be having Maddison to tea tomorrow, so we are making party tea with pasties , crisps ,sandwiches, and fruit jellies and icecream. She was poorly last week at her friends party, so we thought we'd make up for it.  She doesn't know we've also made a pass the parcel for her.

Saturday myself and four friends are off to  the the Sincerely yours craft show at Leigh. It should be a good show, I missed out when the last one was on as I'd just had my chemo and didn't feel good. I'm looking forward to getting some nice stash to play with and hoping to get some re-inkers for my distress inks. I don't think I'll get on the computer again until monday so I wish you all a great weekend. Happy crafting Hugs x ChrisB

Wednesday 15 August 2012

Wow it's been stuffy here this morning, it's very unusual for me to be warm. I sufferer from cold intolerance and usually have to wear a thermal even in summer. It's been great I haven't had to wear one for at least a week . I went for my usual potter round this morning. It was really windy but warm.  Have been sewing  some knitting together for most of the day. I finished taking pictures of my card makes. I tried yesterday but my camera was flat. I've made a wedding box and a very small shaped card to fit into the box. It needs a little verse in the middle of the back yet. I also have made two christmas cards using a new Marianne die, it's my favourite at the moment. At tea time I went to the baths to watch Maddison swim again. She is doing very well, although she's busy chattering to everyone instead of listening to the instructer. She starts school in September I bet she gets told off for talking, she's a real chatterbox. We got outside and boy the heavens opened. It didn't half put some rain down good job we were in my sons car or we would have looked like drowned rats.

I am struggling to get on the computer again with my sons back in the craft room but hope to get back on soon. Happy crafting . Hugs x ChrisB

Wednesday 8 August 2012

Hi everyone I'm sorry I have been missing again. Have been busy finishing the knitting I started last week. I also made some cards yesterday, one is for my friends Grandaughter she is four next week. I made some quick Christmas cards as well last night.
I have also been trying to walk when the weather as been nice. It's not much fun at times but I did manage to get on a bus last week and visit M & S at Bolton.  I also walked to Tescoes and picked up my new pairs of vifocals, so now I can see to sew again. I have been busy doing some alterations. I bought quite a few strappy vests to wear under my low neck tops and have had to shorten all the straps, also a couple of pairs of trousers.
It's been lovely and sunny today so have been sat outside knitting , then  Lee and I went to watch Maddison have her swimming lesson. Then they came back to our house for tea.
Have you been watching the Olympics? I'm not sporty at all but have really enjoyed watching the cycling, show jumping and gymnastics. Haven't seen any to day, so I'm off to catch up in a bit.

I will have a quick look at some blogs first. Hope you are all well and enjoying crafting . Hugs x ChrisB
