Less is More- 3 squares

This week over at Less is More the theme is 3 squares. I have chosen to do a watercolour. I have used Jenny Mayes stamps to fill my squares. I have to say my photo skills are lacking again. I don't seem to beable to get a good picture of my sky. It looks much better in real life. I chose to do a DL card. Looking at my finished card I don't know if this really counts as a Less is more card.

Thanks for taking the time to visit, it's much appreciated.  Hugs x ChrisB

Less is More -spring

Over at Less is More this week the theme is Spring. I decided  to use a stamp this week that I've not used before. It was from a grab bag at Graphicus. I've made a scrapling card, my first every one. I think I'll be making more of these.  The technique is also new to me, using brushmarkers. I have had them years and don't think I have every used them like this. Just colouring the stamp in with them. The sentiment is also a Graphicus stamp. I've just left it plain and simple. Sorry my photographic skills don't show this at it's best.
Thank you for taking time to visit. I really appreciate it. Hugs x ChrisB

Bah humbug altered Cd

This week at Bah Humbug the challenge is to alter a Cd. I decided to make a card for my other half for Christmas. I covered my card with the green spot bp then stuck a piece of torn vellum down the left side. I coloured my cd with  Adirondack Butterscotch and Pesto Alcohol inks and pale gold leafing pen. I stamped branches on the top right of my cd with green Stazon . As I thought they would reflect into my shiny  Bauble  if it was hung onto a tree.
I then stuck a gold glittered Skelton leaf on top and trimmed the left side off. Stuck a piece of my old Christmas decoration in the middle and one at the bottom right. I added gold peel off to look like chains and ribbon to my decorated bauble.  Off to tidy up now and hope fully get an early night, I have my beautiful grandaughter to play with all day tomorrow.

Thank you for taking the time to visit and for your lovely comments. They are very much appreciated. Hugs xChrisB

Less is more - slowly, silently now the moon

I have enjoyed myself tonight, joining in the second weeks challenge at Less is more. You had make a one layer card using a flower or a tree. I have used a stamp I bought a bit back but haven't used until tonight. I stamped the trees in London Fog Memento ink, then I masked them and stamped the moon. Added a little glitter, stamped the verse and added cystals to match. I then embossed around the edge. I didn't think I could make cards like this but I think I'm slowly getting into it. Sorry I think I need to practise my photography. Looks much better in real life. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog. I really appreciate it and your comments. Hugs xChris

Hi where as this week gone, can't believe it's Friday already. This week at Bah humbug the challenge is to use a dolie. I didn't have any so decided that I would make my own, infact I made three. I used Papermania backing paper and Acetate .The acetate as made the lower part of my card. I then used a Martha Stewart punch and made the 3 dolies . Stamped my image which was a free stamp from Craft Stamper and coloured with promarkers. Cut out and layered my other images from  an old Christmas card , that was it card finished. Hope you like it.

Less is more

Hi everyone, today I have stepped out of my comfort zone to try something different. I have found a new challege blog Less is More. This is the first week and you have to use the colours. White, pink and Black on your card.
You have to have a lot of white space, in my case it is pink space, I stamped my image onto the Pink card and embossed with white embossing powder. I then stamped again onto black card. I used my cuttlebug and cut this out and stuck it over the one on the card to match. I added pink gems, stamped onto my white ribbon and that was it, card finished. I hope you like it.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my little blog. I do appreciate your lovely comments. Hugs x ChrisB

Bah humbug week 5 Buttons and bows

This week over at Bah humbug you have to make a card with buttons and bows. Tonight I have managed to make two cards.  For my first card I used a Penny Johnson stamp I picked up in the sales last month. I thought it was so cute. I have coloured the image with promarkers then paper pieced the little girls nightie and the bows on the bed. I added glitter to the bows and the stocking. You have to have some glitter for christmas. I also flocked the teddy to make him more like a real teddy. Icut the image on my cuttlebug cut slits in the sides and threaded my ribbon throughand wrapped it around the card. Then added my little buttons. I think the bp was off a free pad and papermania.

My Second card I decided to make a DL card I've not made one of these for years. I decided to use craft card and Red Ginham ribbon. I used Jane Nestarenko mice stamps coloured with promarkers and glitter. Mounted them onto Gold mirror. The Metal flower at the top was a broken brooch. Iwanted the whole  card to look like a hanging decoration so used the button for the dangly bits inbetween the baubles.

Timeless

Hi folks I hope your having a fun crafting week. I've managed to create a card tonight for a friend on Time for crafting  forum. Her birthdays next week. We all make cards when it's someone's birthday even though we have never spoke or  seen each other. They are all a lovely bunch of ladies and it's a real friendly place to visit.
I have used Crushed olive, dried marigold, and Rusty hinge distress inks. Also Adirnodack pesto. I embossed with white detail embossing powder. The stamps are from Darkroom door Friendship flowers. The little birds are from a set of scene its by Jenny Mayes. My hubby as named this card Timeless. I added Ribbon and Tiny pearls.

Bah Humbug week 4 Golden oldie.

Hi  just finished my card this week using my golden oldie. My Golden Oldie stamp is the Judikins Winter Botanical cube, this was one of the first christmas stamps I got.
I have used it for the background to my stamped piece. I don't no if this was against the rules but I have combined it with a relative new stamp from Joanne Sheen. It was brought out as a birthday stamp but I wanted to make it into a Christmas stamp. So have put the little mice under the tree branches. I have used Promarkers and Distress Inks to colour the image . I also used distress ink to stamp the branches. I have added stickles for garlands. The cuttlebug for embossing and die cutting. For more interest I have added a Piece of an old Christmas decoration from my tree, that quite a few years old. The Red card at the bottom was from an old Christmas card I saved a couple of years ago. Hope you like it.
