watch strap

Thought I would post a picture of my first watch strap. Thanks to Sheena Douglas for showing us how to do it. I love the idea and I'm hoping to make some for Christmas presents.

I made this one using Grunge board and Timz Holtz hitch idea-ology. I painted the grunge board with a mixture of white acrylic paint and shimmer powder mixed into it. I just added it together until I was happy with it. I also added streakes of white pearl liquid acrylic. It doesn't really show up on camera. I coloured the edges with black soot distress ink. I then stamped onto it using one of the Elusive images from the Harlequin rose set. I painted the roses with Viva Precious metal Lilac paint and Platinum pink pearlescent liquid acrylic. The leaves were painted with Viva Precious metal Pistachio I then went over the veins on the leaves with Stewart Gill Chinese Jade interference colour Alchemy paint.

Unfortunately my camera skills a slighly lacking it looks much better in real life.

Sad day

A sad day I woke up to the news that my all time favourite film hero Patrick Swayze had died. I loved all his films. He had put up a very brave fight over the last 20 months. Long will he be remembered. Rest in Peace.

Special card

It's my Son's partners birthday next week so have made this special birthday card for her. I hope she will like it. I printed Popcorn onto pearl paper and decoupaged it and used a A3 card folded in a new fold.

Unicorn and Fairy

I've just been playing about with my new Unicorn and Fairy stamps. I love them they stamped out great and where so quick to colour. I used H20s. I decided to put the fairy into a globe It's just cut off her other leg but I think it looks ok. I think she is so unusual with wings like leaves. I don't think I've seen other fairies with wings like these. I think they are both pretty, I love the look on the unicorns face.

Peep Peep

I had to make a quick card for a little guy so thought he would like the cars. They are made from a Cd. The police car comes out of the pocket on the front as well ,so thay can go racing. I hope he likes it.

Quick cards

Here are a few quick cards I made using the flowers as before. I put them onto A5 embossed cards.

Lovely day

Have been to Manchester today to the Stitch and craft show with friends. We all had a lovely time adding lots of goodies to our stash.

I got 3 lovely glimmer mists and a beautiful swirly Unicorn stamp and a swirly fairy. I have not seen these stamps anywhere before. They are made by Heather's Stamping Haven in Canada. I think they are lovely. Look forward to playing with them.

Here is the picture of the card I made the other night when I was playing with the town houses from Hobby Art. I used Broken China and Dusty Concord Distress Inks for the sky and also stamped the snow flakes on the card. I used waterpencils to colour the houses and just added some glitter.

Not happy.

I was not happy last night switched on C/C to find their connection to the web or the video screen or what ever they do wasn't working. So didn't manage to see the techneques that Jenny used with the Christmas town houses stamps. I think it was the only time it was on whilst I'm not at work. This always happens to me. Will have to have a play and see what I come up with.

inside my card

Just stamped and done the inside of my card. Sprayed the card again with the glimmer mists, but doesn't really show up on camera. I just have to add a verse which I will most probably do tomorrow.

There is a stamping programme on C/C at 10pm that I want to watch using some Christmas stamps that I have. I missed it the other day so want to catch it tonight. Plus I have some dreaded housework to do.

Love birds

Have been busy this evening making an anniversary card for my Husband. Thought I would make him some thing a bit different.

I have used the Elusive Image birds ,I really love these stamps. I used one of the beautiful Elusive Image backing papers and sprayed it with Old Lace and also Pearl Glimmer mists. I also sprayed the card that I have stamped my bird cage on. But I'm afraid my photo does not do it justice. Then just added 3 metal leaves.

I have been stocktaking all day at work and I am aching all over, so the inside will have to be finished off tomorrow. Off for a soak before bed.
