watch strap

Thought I would post a picture of my first watch strap. Thanks to Sheena Douglas for showing us how to do it. I love the idea and I'm hoping to make some for Christmas presents.

I made this one using Grunge board and Timz Holtz hitch idea-ology. I painted the grunge board with a mixture of white acrylic paint and shimmer powder mixed into it. I just added it together until I was happy with it. I also added streakes of white pearl liquid acrylic. It doesn't really show up on camera. I coloured the edges with black soot distress ink. I then stamped onto it using one of the Elusive images from the Harlequin rose set. I painted the roses with Viva Precious metal Lilac paint and Platinum pink pearlescent liquid acrylic. The leaves were painted with Viva Precious metal Pistachio I then went over the veins on the leaves with Stewart Gill Chinese Jade interference colour Alchemy paint.

Unfortunately my camera skills a slighly lacking it looks much better in real life.

  1. Oh my word it is stunning - I would love to have a go at a bracelet as I can't wear watches they never ever work!

Yours is beautiful and stunning colours. The camera never does the work of art justice does it - especially if it is nice and shimmery too

  2. Really gorgeous! What a good idea and a great gift idea too!

  3. Well done you hope you are going to wear it with pride. By the way hope you had a good day and happy birthday from me :) xx.
