Hi everyone I hope you have all been keeping well and enjoyed the sunshine. I have had a rest from blogging for nearly a month, it's gone so fast. I've been busy as I have only 2 lbs to lose and I have lost 3 stone. I have had to alter quite a lot of my clothes, some of my trousers twice, now I'm finding my T shirts are too big so am starting to alter those. I've also got to alter my jumpers and cardigans,  with having to have finished work through my cancer  needs must.  I've also been to the charity shops and managed to pick up some good bargains.
I've also been busy in the garden watering my pots and hanging baskets everyday and dead heading.. They have been looking lovely. Not to mention washing everything in sight while the weather as been lovely.
I have been crafting in between my  jobs. I am knitting a cardigan using 7 strands of fine industrial yarn for myself, embroidering a table cloth and yesterday I started crocheting a throw for my couch. I've not done crochet for about 30 years, then I only did a little bit, I can't follow a pattern.
This week I have cleaned my carpets in my lounge and dining room, with my son being asleep during the day, they badly needed it , so while he's not been here I got stuck in.

I've also started my Christmas cards, I have been stamping and colouring with my promarkers. I have used a set of Molly Bloom stamps that I had bought and never used. I thought I had better get them inked up and used. I really enjoyed making everyone different. They are all been layered , some have die cuts which have been embossed, also some have aperatures. I have also been doing alot of die cutting. other things I have used are glitter and glossy accents and pearls. All the cards are flat  so it won't cost too much for posting them.  So far I have finished 17 and got some more part finished. The last 3 I am posting are white on white cards.

I hope your still with me and not fell asleep bored.

I'm going to school tomorrow to pick Maddison up with her Daddy as it's the Spring fair. I'll give her some money so she can  buy something. She usually  wants some cakes and a go on the tombola stall. Her mum never gives her any pennies to spend and it's a shame as she wants to join in like all the others. She was really good and very brave last weekend. She came home from school on the Friday with a very deep cut in her hand. School  had not washed it out properly and it was full of dirt as she had fallen in the mud. By the time she got to our house it was looking very red and inflamed. Grandad spent an hour opening back the skin and cleaning it out for, before smothering it with germaline and a bandage.  She was so brave  and cried quite a lot, I couldn't have let him do it to me. I took her to Asda on Saturday morning and let her pick what she wanted. She wanted a dress, she chose a long peach sundress and peach and black Ballerina shoes. She said " Nanna thank you I feel really special in this." I told her that was because she was extra special and Nanna's little treasure.
Well I'm off to tidy up and have a bath. Hope you all have a lovely weekend and Happy crafting. Thanks for calling by, your comments are much appreiated. Love and craft hugs. xxxChrisB

  3. Oh my Chris, you're getting me in a flap with all your gorgeous Christmas cards. I can see I'll be leaving it to the last minute as usual! I especially love those little owls, lol!

I've really enjoyed reading back through your blog tonight, you always have such lovely times with Maddison to tells us about. OH and I went across to Alexa's school summer fayre last week. It was a lovely couple of hours and Alexa was so proud because her Daddy was drawing caricatures to help raise funds for school. We were a bit worried people might not be interested but he ended up with quite a queue and was still drawing while the teachers and volunteers were clearing up, lol! Alexa and I managed to win a bottle of wine for her Daddy and Yvonne (lovely stepmum) and some chocolate for Alexa on the tombola.

I'll try not to leave it so long to my next visit Chris. Take care.

    Hugs
