Box easel

Hi today I thought I'd better make a start on my special Christmas cards. I wanted to make something other than just a normal Christmas card, so decided to make a box easel card. I also thought I would make it into a calendar. I've chosen a new stamp by Sheena Douglas. This is my first attempt at using it so I have stamped it with distress ink and dragged it out to colour it. I have left it plain except for adding glitter onto the hills and some rocks. I was going to add snowflakes then changed my mind and added flowers instead.  I didn't want it to look to Christmassy as I want it to be used all year. I am going to add post it notes and pens in the little drawer. I am quite pleased with it as I have not made one of these before.

  1. Blimey Christine! This is not a special card, this is a perfect work of art, it is just gorgeous. And not too Christmassy, at first I thought it was then I looked properly and enlarged the photo - nope, wintry maybe but not Christmas - just amazing

  4. And so you should be pleased with it. You've done an amazing job on the image and to incorporate it into a easel box card is inspired. Love it.
