Well its a mixed bunch of things to show you today. I have made a couple of quick easter bags for Maddison to collect her eggs with this weekend.
I also have a card I made for my Husbands birthday last Friday. It is not how it started, it was going to be a rectangular card. I had spent ages stamping and colouring and inking, trying to keep him from seeing it. He was in and out and was driving me mad. He came in and wanting to talk to me so I had the card hidden. I wasn't realy listening and he went off in a huff. I had inked my sponge up with ink and forgot I had not blotted it and rubbed it onto my card.
Card ruined after hours of work, thought I'm not starting again I will have to do something with it. So I Die cut it, made a frame out of three seperate die cuts . Out came everything from the cupboard inks, stamps and promarkers. I carried on the canal by drawing it with a black promarker and then just stamped some grass. All this time OH still kept trooping through, next thing I spotted I had a black mark over the roof of the house so had to look for another tree stamp to cover it. Card finished not how I wanted it but I think it turned out passable.
My son as just bought a very old canal boat and hubby had spent a week trying to get it back from Wales. So he was thrilled to bits with his card.
My last card was inspired by Sue Wilsons white and cream theme. I started by stamping and embossing with detail white powder onto white card .I used Papermania's Urban butterfly background stamp onto cream card. I also stamped a free butterfly stamp from Craft Stamper magazine. I then cut the card and mounted it over the top of the white card. Wrapped white lace and cream ribbon and stuck it down. I then stamped and embossed again with detail white on Vellum 12 Vintage floral flowers and shaped them. Then added pins and pearls to finish. Sorry the picture isn't very good, it's realy hard to show the stamped embossing.
Hope your all having a good week, I'm off now to have a bit of a clean up and do some clothes folding and general tidy up. Teas made and Hubby is at the boat until Friday so I can put my feet up and watch some telly tonight. Tattered Lace dies are launching on Ideal World tonight at 9p.m so keen to see how they have used them. I saw quite a few of the dies in Hobbycraft a couple of weeks ago. I think they are very badly packaged you couldn't tell what some of them were supposed to be and the word ones you couldn't read backwards.
Mind you I do like the Oval one that jumped into my basket. The wording on Hubby card was made with that set.
Happy crafting see you soon. Thanks for calling by for a visit. Hugs ChrisB
