Die cuts

Hi everyone Yesterday I spent a lovely time cutting out lots of die cuts. I  thought I would try to make some different cards. For the first one I used a Marianne die which I absolutely love and it cuts so easily too. I cut two and inked around the edge of my bottom one then layered the second on top. I then coloured just the embossed hearts on that one. Added a bow and flowers and pins. The sentiment was stamped with gold brilliance pad and Lily of the Valley stamp.
The second card was made with a medalion spellbinders die , I cut 8 of them and used 4 for the flower in the centre. I hope you like them.
Might not be on for the rest of the week as we are having a new boiler installed and it going to be a lot more work than we thought it would be. So I will be on clearing duties all day tomorrow. The man is coming on Thursday and Friday. Have a good week . Hugs x ChrisB

Something Different

Yesterday I thought I would do something different, I had a rummage in my craft room and found a clock set I had bought years ago at a show. I decided to make it out of a cd as I tried cutting some thick card but it was hard trying to get a large circles  I only have a cuttlebug .
I used Linen textured card coloured with distress inks, wood texture stamp, Peg flower and butterfly stamps, flitter glue, Stazon ink, number stamps, cd.
I also made two mens card using images from c.ds as I have loads of cds and hardly use them.

The first one I inked the edges and the ribbon and around the image All the little embellishments are from the trellis Tonic die the bits that are usually just waste. The second I embossed the trees in gold onto embossed card and added a bit of free rafia from a christmas present.
Hope you are all managing to keep warm,it's been a bit of a struggle here. Can't afford to have the heating on long her. Happy crafting. Hugs x ChrisB

Hello folks, decided to have another ignore the housework day and play instead. Managed to make three cards they all have the H20 and salt background . The first one is a 8x8 card, The background paper  I think was an Elusive Image paper and a Kanban Venice Image. I used an embossing folder and glitter card and ribbon. Just added  pearls to finish.
The second card was made with the Nellie border die I used yesterday the image is a Sheena Douglas. The 3rd card is the same image as yesterday Kanban  stamps but on a different background.

I hope you are all keeping warm, it's still cold here and there are heavy snow warnings for Friday, according to my friend. I must admit I haven't seen any weather forecast today.
Off to have a look around some blogs, Happy crafting. Thanks for calling by. Hugs x ChrisB

Monday, 14 January 2013

Hi folks no snow here at the moment, but it's still quite cold. Got wrapped up this afternoon and a had a little walk then called to see a friend for a chat.  Got back and made a scrummy bacon hotpot for tea, one of my childhood favourites.
Been watching C&C on and off but managed to put a card together. The background is H20 with salt sprinkled over  then brushed off. Then stamped over with a Kanban stamp of Venice. A bit of Pearl card and a Nellies border die and a flower made with tissue and a star like shaped spellbinders die. Also three punched swirls.
Off to wash up and tidy up, hopefully will see you tomorrow . Hugs x ChrisB

It's a play day

It's a play day everyone. Played all morning at doll's and nurses with Maddison and had a lovely morning. Unfortunately she goes home at lunch time on a Sunday and we won't see her again until Friday. It's a shame she never wants to go home to her Mum on Sundays. It's not very nice when Lee is practically dragging her out the door.
I decided that I would play all afternoon with my stamps and inks. I thought I would cheer myself up as it is so cold here. I hope you are all keeping warm. I thought it was about time I had a go at making a mans card for a change.
I have used Tumbled Glass and Frayed Burlap distress inks. My postcard embossing folder, Papermania cog stamps some of the stamps that were free on the Creative Magazine. The main image is Sam Poole's air ship from a set of stamps. The cogs were cut with the Papermania dies that are new out. I have also used chicken wire stamp.
I was quite pleased with it , then I showed my OH and he didn't like the colour of embossing powder that I had used. What do you think folks?
I nearly forgot to tell you I was lucky enough this week to win a £10 voucher for the Ribbon Girl thanks to Kath and Buddy's Blog. I hope you are all enjoying your weekend.
I appreciate your comments very much. Thanks alot for visiting. Hugs x ChrisB

Hi everyone I have changed my browser to chrome so hoping that as done the trick and that I will be able to load my pictures again. Here is the card I tryed to load last week. I coloured the flowers with promarkers, stamped the background with versamark. Then I used my dies.
The next two cards are mad using a Hunkadory kit that was a birthday present from my friend Pat, the first one is for my brother's birthday at the end of the month, the other is for my nephew's in February.

These cards I made today, I have used Joanna Sheen cd's for the images , dies cuts , glitter glue and stamped onto the backing paper and image on the last card.I am going to add a ribbon onto this as well. I hope you like them, I just felt like making some spring flowers to cheer myself up. Thanks for visiting it is much appreciated. Happy crafting. Hugs xChrisB

Happy New Year to everyone wishing you all Health and Happiness for 2013. I hope you all had a lovely time. I had a busy time with everyone at home, lots of cooking and washing but enjoyed it all. Helen my daughter went back to Scotland this morning, hopefully won't be too long before we see her again. She's finished her work up their so is trying  to decide what she wants the future to hold for her next.
I have been sorting some of my dies out and putting them on magnetic sheets today and have managed to make a card. It's another flower stamp coloured with promarkers and I have used some card that I got from Lidl at the weekend. It's really good quality and was a very good price.  Sorry Blogger won't give me anything to load the picture will have to try again.
