Hi everyone a very long time since I posted. I hope everyone is well and busy  with there crafting.

I had some bad news when I last went to see the oncologist at the end of October. My cancer has spread up my spine and into my ribs. I was feeling so much better after losing 4 stone and very positive so you can imagine I was knocked for six. It has taken me along time to try and get stronger and try and enjoy every day again.
I have tried to bury myself in crafting and carry on making my cards for cancer. I have made  quite a lot and they have been selling slowly so I am making Christmas cards at the moment. I just haven't had the time to photograph then all and put on here.

We are decorating my bedroom at the minute so it's utter chaos with stuff everywhere. I have been trying to sort stuff out and have a big clear out. If your like me your a hoarder I find it very hard to get rid of stuff. I have so much craft stuff and I haven't started on that stuff yet. I don't know what to do with it all, I don't want to leave it all for my other half to have to sort it.

Well must get on and get dressed I am going out today and have alot of jobs to do as well.
Will try to be back soon with some pictures. Love  and hugsto you all and thanks for dropping by.

Hello everyone

Hello everyone, sorry I've not been around for so long.
I have managed to get my cards into a shop and they are selling them for cancer research. I have been so busy I have made about 100 cards since my last post.

I have  lost 3 and a half stone  since April and I have been getting  out and about alot better with the help of my shoes that were made special. They have made me a second pair , I just have to wear them in.
I am going to visit my daughter next week. I haven't seen her since she came home at Christmas. I  am really looking forward to it. I'm a little bit worried as I have to catch 3 trains and haven't really been on many trains since |I was a little girl. Just hoping I get get from 1 platform to another quickly enough as I don't walk very quickly.

This last week I had a Ct scan to see how my cancer in my spine is. I'm praying that the Ketogenic diet as stopped it progressing further. From going on the diet in April to the end of August I had not taken one painkiller and felt much healthier. But since then I have been having some twinges and to day it is very painfull so I know it is still there. I don't think I will get to know the results until I go back at the end of October to see my Oncologist. I am carrying on with the diet until at least then.
Well I think this is all I have time for now. Hope you are all keeping well and still enjoying your crafting. Take care. Love and hugs xx ChrisB

Hi folks I have had a lovely time over the last few weeks being warm and wearing  a t shirt, I am usually freezing and have to wear lots of thermals and jumpers from about September until March to keep warm. I've been like that for about 10 years. It's been a real treat to have all the sunshine and  have sat out even in the evening  which is very rare for me. I hope you all have enjoyed it as much as me. Mind you even I was heard to utter on a few days that I was too hot.
My grandaughter was doing abit of colouring the other week and made two cards one for her teacher and one for her daddy's girlfriend. She's only interested in colouring when she can use my Promarkers. She loves using lots of bright colours as you will see. She cut the paper and stuck them on and the die cuts. She says she's not interested in crafting, but I think she made a good job of them myself, mind you I'm biased. The picture of Maddison was taken at the church hall bingo , just had to have one of her with her missing teeth. She had Super Bear for the weekend from school. We had to take pictures of his adventure with her and she had to write a piece about it for school. She won a large box of M&S chocolate  biscuits at the bingo so came home very happy.

I have been making lots of card over the last couple of weeks. The first was a commission for a 65th Wedding Anniversary.

I decided to make a batch of shoe and dress cards here are a few of them.

I'm  looking forward to tomorrow Maddison will be here, we didn't have her last week and really  missed her and it was very quiet.
Hope you have a nice weekend and get to do the things you enjoy the most. Thanks for dropping by. Love and crafty hugs. xx Chris

Hi folks well we've had some great weather this week, I've even managed to sit out abit and do a bit of knitting.
On Monday  I took my friend Sylvia's Birthday card and present down that I had just managed to finish in time. For her present I used a Debbie Moore cd and for her card I used a Crafters companion card creator as well as some Hunkadory decoupage. She is very into flowers, I am pleased to say she was thrilled with both of them. We sat and had a good old chin wag while I tried to sort some crochet out.

It was warm here yesterday and I did loads of washing, as well as walking to Tescoes for some shopping.
Today I had another trip to Tescoes, I can only carry shopping in one hand as I use my stick  and have to do several trips. Mind you I didn't mind this morning as the weather was beautiful. Managed to get some more washing done and ironed this afternoon.
I have almost finished another card for my son's girlfriend , her birthday is on Sunday. I just have to stamp a  birthday verse and die cut it then it is finished. I will post a picture at the weekend.
I will  be tidying up tomorrow before Maddison comes for her weekend stay. She came for tea yesterday and  we had taken her down to the tennis court for a knockabout  after tea before she had to go home back to her Mums. She got really upset and cryed when we said it was time to go.  We don't get much time to take her anywhere as her Daddy takes her out every Saturday and then she goes home again before Sunday lunch time.
I bet she will want us to play football again tomorrow , so I'd better get to bed and rest my weary sore feet.
Thanks for dropping by. Wishing you all a lovely weekend. Love and crafty hugs xxx ChrisB

Hi everyone I hope you have all been keeping well and enjoyed the sunshine. I have had a rest from blogging for nearly a month, it's gone so fast. I've been busy as I have only 2 lbs to lose and I have lost 3 stone. I have had to alter quite a lot of my clothes, some of my trousers twice, now I'm finding my T shirts are too big so am starting to alter those. I've also got to alter my jumpers and cardigans,  with having to have finished work through my cancer  needs must.  I've also been to the charity shops and managed to pick up some good bargains.
I've also been busy in the garden watering my pots and hanging baskets everyday and dead heading.. They have been looking lovely. Not to mention washing everything in sight while the weather as been lovely.
I have been crafting in between my  jobs. I am knitting a cardigan using 7 strands of fine industrial yarn for myself, embroidering a table cloth and yesterday I started crocheting a throw for my couch. I've not done crochet for about 30 years, then I only did a little bit, I can't follow a pattern.
This week I have cleaned my carpets in my lounge and dining room, with my son being asleep during the day, they badly needed it , so while he's not been here I got stuck in.

I've also started my Christmas cards, I have been stamping and colouring with my promarkers. I have used a set of Molly Bloom stamps that I had bought and never used. I thought I had better get them inked up and used. I really enjoyed making everyone different. They are all been layered , some have die cuts which have been embossed, also some have aperatures. I have also been doing alot of die cutting. other things I have used are glitter and glossy accents and pearls. All the cards are flat  so it won't cost too much for posting them.  So far I have finished 17 and got some more part finished. The last 3 I am posting are white on white cards.

I hope your still with me and not fell asleep bored.

I'm going to school tomorrow to pick Maddison up with her Daddy as it's the Spring fair. I'll give her some money so she can  buy something. She usually  wants some cakes and a go on the tombola stall. Her mum never gives her any pennies to spend and it's a shame as she wants to join in like all the others. She was really good and very brave last weekend. She came home from school on the Friday with a very deep cut in her hand. School  had not washed it out properly and it was full of dirt as she had fallen in the mud. By the time she got to our house it was looking very red and inflamed. Grandad spent an hour opening back the skin and cleaning it out for, before smothering it with germaline and a bandage.  She was so brave  and cried quite a lot, I couldn't have let him do it to me. I took her to Asda on Saturday morning and let her pick what she wanted. She wanted a dress, she chose a long peach sundress and peach and black Ballerina shoes. She said " Nanna thank you I feel really special in this." I told her that was because she was extra special and Nanna's little treasure.
Well I'm off to tidy up and have a bath. Hope you all have a lovely weekend and Happy crafting. Thanks for calling by, your comments are much appreiated. Love and craft hugs. xxxChrisB

Wow had a very busy weekend as we had Maddison  staying Friday, Saturday and Sunday until school on Monday morning. She was really good, we had kidnapped one of her dolls baby blue and left her a secret letter and map and clues around the house so she could solve them and find him. He was hidden upstairs in a little suitcase along with some treats, she had a great time finding him.  Saturday night we watched the final of Britains got Talent, which she loved watching. Sunday she was out all day with her Daddy. He was working all night so Grandad gave her a bath, then I dried her and it was time for milk and biscuits. After that it was my job to tuck her up in bed and  we finished reading the Faraway tree by Enid Blyton.  I was up bright and early Monday morning just incase her Daddy was late in from work. She was no trouble getting up and she was soon off to school with her Daddy.

I've just managed to get all my washing done and dryed today in the lovely sunshine. Mind you just after tea the heavens opened and we have had a  torrential downpour and thunder storm and hailstones. Glad I wasn't out in it.

I've been crafting tonight but can't show you what until tomorrow  as it's not finished, but I do have some cards I made  last week. The first card uses the new Phil Martin stamp I bought last week at the show. I have stamped and embossed it and also the sentiment. The flowers are made with Heartfelt Creation stamps and cut out by hand. I added pearls in the centres.

The next two cards are using images I have coloured with Promarkers and Die cut I have also used some stamps to finish the cards.

This next card as been made with the first ever die I bought years ago. I have inked the card with distress ink to colour it. Added a acetate window  into my cut apperature. and stamped my wording inside.

The final card for tonight is a card I have made for my Hubby for Fathers Day using one of the Happy hoppers. I have put glossy accents on the bubbles.

I also used a bubble stamp for my background.

I hope your week as started off well and that you have been enjoying the sunshine. Thanks for visiting. Happy crafting. Love and hugs x ChrisB

Sunday, 1 June 2014

Hi, I went with friends to the British craft Festival at Bolton Arena yesterday and had a lovely time and treated myself to some lovely goodies and also met the lovely Phil Martin. Both my friend and I had our photo taken with Phil but unfortunately my camera doesn't want to  load the picture onto my computer. I think I need a new conector.
Still I have some cards to share with you. The first two are made with Tonic Dies

Last week I went up to my friend Janet's house and she showed me tea bag folding and printed me some sheets off. So here is a card using one of the sheets I used.

I have also made a few more cards during last week the pink one is from a Debbie Moore cd.

Thanks for dropping by. Happy crafting  , Love x ChrisB
