Can someone tell me where this months gone?  I can't believe it was the  13th when I last posted.
I was busy last weekend as my Son went away on the Saturday  so we were looking after   Maddison. We took her to the pictures as she wanted to see Harry Hill the Movie, which she enjoyed. I have to say that I had been awake half the night with my feet driving me mad, and not long after the film started I nodded off and kept waking up every time there was singing.  We went for some lunch and then went to the toy shop and the pet shop then headed back home to play with her dolls and dolls house.
I've been busy this week wrapping presents and making a pass the parcel as it's Maddsions 6th Birthday on Friday. I have also been busy making her Birthday card tomorrow ni8ght we have to blow up all the balloons and put her birthday banner up. She was all excited last week, she as been busy counting down the days for about three weeks.
For her card I have used  Here comes the girls Cd. The image on the front is a digi stamp coloured with promarkers

I'm off to see what you have all been up to now, so thanks for dropping by your comments are much appreciated. Take care. Love and crafty hugs x ChrisB

I was watching C&C on Tv yesterday and they were showing card blanks by Craftwork cards. I really liked them so decided to have ago at making my own using one of my Spellbinder dies. It was so easy to make, I'm pleased how it turned out I added some paper from this months Making Cards magazine and Lace flowers from my stash, with pearls and sequins. I will be trying this again with another shaped die next time.
My other card tonight was stamped with one of the tiny lady stamps I used on my fan card a couple of weeks ago. I  have had this set of stamps ever since I started stamping, which is too many years to mention. I just kept this simple. The frame was a laser cut I've also had forever, it was cream and I embossed  it with embossing powder.

Have a great weekend everyone, I hope the weather is kind to you, it's sounds like it is going to be pretty bad. Keep safe. Love and crafty hugs x |ChrisB

Hi, I hope everyone had a good weekend. I managed to get out with my best friend on Saturday afternoon so that was really nice.
It's really cold tonight here in my craftroom so keeping this brief. I have managed to make a card this afternoon. I have been watching Tattered Lace die on C &C I can't afford the dies so thought I would dig out all my beautiful lace bits from when I was working. I worked for a company that sold lots of bridal laces.  Before I had to finish they were having a sort out and they were throwing heaps of their old samples. I asked if I could have them as they were too pretty to go in the bin. I have made a vintage card and plan to make a few more. I have hundreds of  beautiful pieces, I just  got to think of a hundred ways of using them now. If you have any suggestions  please leave me a message.
Hope you like my card, the picture isn't goo because of the reflection on the sequins.See you soon. Thanks for dropping by.  Love and crafty hugs x ChrisB

Another fun day

I had another fun day despite the horrible weather and feeling rather cold,. I kept in doors and played with my inks  again. Sorry I 've used my favourite ones again, Rusty hinge, Wild  Honey and Mustard seed. I have had some of Sheen's stamps for a while now and they haven't seen ink, so today was the day. I just love this big tree stamp. For the background of the card I have used a wood grain stamp with Tea dye distress ink. I have also  used my Perfect Layers for the first time, as they only arrived this morning. Must say they are so easy to use and so quick., no more messing about with guilotine or cutter for me.

These other two cards are made with a Craftwork card  pad that I bought months ago and had never opened.

I was surprised tonight my husband asked how many cards had I made since Christmas. I said about twenty. What a surprise when I checked I had made 45,  haven't I been a busy bee.
Well I'm off to see what you have all been up to on some blogs. Happy crafting and thanks for dropping by. Love and crafty hugs x ChrisB

Messing about with inks

Hi  I've been messing about with my dye inks and made some cards. I  haven't done any inking for a while so had a really nice time playing.  I'm sorry to say my skills at taking photo's is nil at the moment  they are rubbish. I thought my last lot was rubbish but these are worse.
The first two are using a mask inking through then going over the top with Transparent paste. On the yellow one I used a wire netting stamp around the edge of the card then matt and layered. Then on the blue and lilac I inked around the edge of my card then  mounted on a wider matt of  backing paper.
My next two cards where made with the resist  techneque. I stamped  script repeatably with versemark  then covered with clear embossing powder. Inked my background. Then stamped the flowers the sentiment was stamped on the bottom where I had masked off.

I'm quite pleased with how they turned out, but they look much better in real life.
Hope you have all had a good start to the week and get some good time to play. Love and hugs x ChrisB
