Stuck in a blue theme.

Hi everyone, Hope you've all been managing in the snow and keeeping warm. I've been freezing a couple of nights but managed to carry on crafting. Just realised I am stuck in a blue theme. Everything I have done recently as been blue. Here is Maddisons Ball gown. It isn't finished yet, I still have to thread elastic through the sleeves, press the neck and catch the facing down. That why it still got the tacking stiches showing.. I also have to sew the velcroe down the back and do the hem. I'm praying that its not to small on Christmas day as she is growing rapidly. She's not 3 until end February but as been in 3/4 clothes for ages.

I have also made a birthday card using Sheena Douglas stamp and coloured it with water coloured pencils. Then made two Christmas cards using the same digi image, sorry can't remember who's it is. Thats terrible as I only bought it last week. I have coloured them with Distress inks and used Sheena's stamp on it and an Anita's stamp for the background and brilliance ink. Thanks for dropping by. Hugs x Chris

Box easel

Hi today I thought I'd better make a start on my special Christmas cards. I wanted to make something other than just a normal Christmas card, so decided to make a box easel card. I also thought I would make it into a calendar. I've chosen a new stamp by Sheena Douglas. This is my first attempt at using it so I have stamped it with distress ink and dragged it out to colour it. I have left it plain except for adding glitter onto the hills and some rocks. I was going to add snowflakes then changed my mind and added flowers instead.  I didn't want it to look to Christmassy as I want it to be used all year. I am going to add post it notes and pens in the little drawer. I am quite pleased with it as I have not made one of these before.

I have made this card using a couple of Sam Poole stamps and the resist techneque. I used Kaleidacolor Melon Melody some leaves and flowers from my stash and my cuttlebug. Christmas baubles

Hi had a busy day today with my grandaughter. We painted all morning and baked all afternoon. We made bright orange iced buns for Halloween. With lots of ghosts and  spiders on top. We had a great time.
Have done two cards tonight with my Christmas baubles from Dimension Fourth. I stamped the baubles then used Hobby art stamps to fill them. I also used a Marianne die for the Christmas tree branches. The Merry Christmas is an old papermania stamp. The baubles were coloured with distress inks and Promarkers.  Jewels and glitter for the bling.

I'm looking forward to my extra hour in bed tonight. Just hope I can get to sleep there's a party going on next door. Happy Halloween for tomorrow. Have lots of fun.

Halloween treats

Hi I'm not realy into all this Halloween stuff, but my Two and half year old grandaughter Maddison loves anything scary. She'll be looking for skeltons and monsters, I'm afraid all she's got is a Witch and a Mummy.

I have made a card and decorated a bag full of goodies for her. I think she will be happy when she finds the chocolate spiders and chocolate rats.My hubby found her a talking witch.I have used stampies from Sundae of Seasons Cd and coloured them with promarkers. I drew the spiders myself and fixed wobblie eyes on. These are my first attempt at Halloween will have to get a bit  more spooky
next year as she gets older. I had  lots of fun making them.

The first one uses a Penny Black stamp that I got recently  which is called a Wish for Peace. I coloured it with distress inks and added a touch of glitter. The second card was made with a stamp I got a couple of years ago. I have also used my Marianne die for the trees and a punch for the snowflakes. Hopefully will post something else soon. Wow these weeks are flying by, or is it me just feeling old.

Dare I think how much stuff I have to get made and done before Christmas, dare not count the weeks.   Help!!!!!! I think I need to go and take a chill pill and lie down. Not counting cards, I've loads of sewing to be done for my grandaughter and knitting too.   Why do I get my self into this situation? I know I have loads to do and yet I get blogging and thats it, I'm hooked all night. It is fun though.....
I have been doing some painting. No not the sort were I really have to put myself out, that would be too silly, even for me. The watercolour sort. I've made a card with Hobby Art stamps. The easel is a template from Time for Crafting Forum. It's for my best friends birthday, I just hope she likes it. I really enjoyed doing this one. It was really relaxing.
Have a good weekend and happy crafting.

Sew Special

Hi folks it seems ages since I posted a card last Friday. I have been so busy at work I have been  really tired and haven't had the energy to make much this week.
I have just made this card  which is for a friend, that's why the Sew Special and she is 40 next week. I have really enjoyed making this card, I have always loved sewing and work with bridal fabrics all the time, so this was really up my street.   I stamped and embossed the buttons which were a free stamp ages ago . I stitched the fabric and stitched it onto the machine,  threaded the machine from the wound bobbin. I just hope she likes it.
I hope everyone as a good weekend. I have Maddison tomorrow and hopefully want to catch some of Sheena Show at 8am on c&c. Then Sunday hopefully off to Leigh for the Sincerely Yours Show with my crafting buddies.

It was for a little girl so I have used a Tilda stamp and made her into a Princess. I have made a carriage using a Anna Marie template and added some swirls. Stamped Tialda and coloured with Promarkers and made her a tiara. I'll have to dash as I'm not ready for work yet.

Sunday, 12 September 2010

Good morning everyone,  I've been around everyones blogs and seen some wonderful creations.I thought it's about time I posted something myself. I did make a card earlier in the week for a commission, but silly me didn't have the right head on. I went and gave it out without taking a picture.
I made this yesterday for my son's partner, it's her birthday next week.  I've used a stamp from the Wild Rose Studio and the free stamp from Craft Stamper this month. A Marianne die , a bit of glossy accents on the glass and flower in her hair. Also added a tiny bit of glitter to her beads. To cut the card and mounts I have used Go Kreate Dies.
Hope your all having a great weekend.
